Meetings

Meetings are always free and open to expectant and nursing parents, their children and support people.
Leaders are available by phone in between meetings.

Wondering what happens at a meeting?

Meetings are a chance to meet other mothers and share information in an accepting environment. We have a theme each month but every meeting is different and we make time to discuss whatever the attendees need.

The rotating monthly topics are:

The Advantages of Breastfeeding to Mother/Parent and Baby
The Baby Arrives: The Family and the Breastfed/Human milk fed Baby
The Art of Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties
Nutrition and Weaning

Face to face Meetings

Monthly in-person meetings occur on the Second Tuesday of the month at 10am

Keep an eye out on the Facebook page for an announcement on location. If weather permits, we meet at Freeman Gardens, 644 Hawthorn Ave in Glen Ridge. If weather is not amenable, we meet at the children's library in Bloomfield. Check facebook for most recent updates on meeting location. This site will also be updated the night before the meeting.

Spring and summer meeting dates:

July 9th, 10am - Freeman Gardens

Location: Upstairs (level 2) at Bloomfield Children's library:
90 Broad Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003
Please note that the children's library is in a separate building next door to the main library.

Transport: The library is within walking distance of Bloomfield train station.

NJ transit bus routes 72 and 709 stop right outside. See www.njtransit.com for schedules.

Parking: There is metered parking on Broad Street and in a lot behind the library building, accessed from State Street.

Accessibility: The library is accessed up a flight of stairs.

There is an elevator on the north side of the building - follow the red signs and take the elevator to level 2.

Facebook Meetings

Monthly Facebook meetings occur on the First Thursday of the month at 8:00-9:00pm

Questions and responses are typed out. There is no video chat.
